Sunday 15 February

Library Visits and Borrowing

This term our Library visits will take place on Tuesday mornings. We will start this Tuesday. The children will be able to borrow at this time. Please ensure your child returns any outstanding books by Tuesday morning so that he or she will be able to borrow new books.

Friday 13 February

Crunch 'n' Sip

Crunch 'n' Sip has become a regular part of our routine. It involves eating fresh fruit or vegetables and drinking water. It usually takes place at 9.30am when the children are starting to feel hungry and need something to get them through the next hour. Seeing as our day is so busy, Crunch 'n' Sip takes place as we work. For this reason, I ask that you provide your child with fruit or vegetables that are quick and easy to eat. Some great examples are carrot or cucumber sticks, apple or pear pieces and grapes. Please avoid providing fruit that is juicy or messy to eat.

Friday 30 January, 2015
No doubt your child has come home with a "to do" list that is as long as his or her arm. To clarify, here is a list of things he or she will need for school next week:

  • headphones
  • a Bible
  • an art smock
  • a box of tissues
  • a pencil case equipped with coloured pencils and texts, lead pencils, an eraser and a sharpener
  • a book to read
  • their Blogging permission slip
Six books were sent home today. It would be great if they could be covered, ready for use on Monday. If not, could the books please come back on Monday regardless.
Thanks!
Have a wonderful weekend.

Monday 2 February
The start of the year is a time for the commencement of new activities and programs. Two notes went home today.
The first is regarding our annual College Swimming Carnival which will take place next Tuesday, 10 February.

The second is regarding an art exhibition which our College will be hosting on Thursday 5 March. All students are encouraged to enter a piece. More details will follow.

If you have any questions regarding either of these events, please feel free to ask.

  1. Was just wondering if scissors were needed? Angus came home and told me he needed scissors. Also do we have to label all the pencils and textas? I know that sounds strange, but for some reason last year, Angus' textas and pencils were sent home for me to label! lol
